If you have kids, you’ll likely have figured out by now that arts and crafts are a great way to have some fun and spend quality time together.
Arts & crafts will also bring out your child’s creative side and gets them to think outside of the box, which is always a good skill to develop whilst they’re young!
So, here are 5 simple yet fun things to do with your children this weekend.
1. Name Art
Every child loves writing their name, so get them to paint their name then cut up their painting into equal squares to re-arrange into a whole new painting like the one below!
2. Paper plate Animals
The great thing about arts & crafts is how cheap and fun it is! Try making all kinds of animals out of painted paper plates.
3. Kids Artwork Lanterns
Show your kids that you’re proud of them by displaying their art in your home! You can make lanterns by drawing on baking paper and covering overglass jars with a tealight candle inside.
4. Balloon Painting
Kids will love this one. Use balloons to create a pretty pattern – just be careful it doesn’t burst!
5. Scented Homemade Waxy Hearts
These are slightly more difficult to do, but they are still relatively easy and look great. Your kids will enjoy making these as they will like the feel of the wax!
