A holesaw, also known as a hole cutter is a circular saw used with a drill and has been designed to cut through relatively thin workpieces. These saws consist of a metal cylinder which is made of steel and is mounted on an arbor. The cutting edge is made up saw teeth that are formed into it and are used for most materials. The arbor can carry a drill bit to bore a centering hole. Sloping slots in the cylinder help carry the dust out, the kerf of the cut is designed to be slightly larger than the diameter of the rest of hole saw so it does not get stuck in hole.The Rolson 58139 16 piece hole saw set consists of eleven different size cutting cups which have been manufactured from steel. The sizes of these hole saws are of 22, 25, 32, 38, 44, 51, 64, 76, 89, 102 and 127mm. This set also contains a 6mm drill bit with 2 mandrel pieces of 6 and 10mm as well as a hex key. All the bits and pieces are contained within a blow moulded case to keep together. These hole saws will give you the ability to cut smooth, clean accurate holes through wood, drywall and even plaster up to depths of 25mm thick. Box contains 1 x 16 pieces Hole Saw Kit.
