Comvita Manukacare is completely natural, 100% antibacterial Manuka Honey sterilised for topical use. A great all-rounder for the family first-aid kit. Manukacare is suitable for most wound types and can be used throughout the healing process on cuts, grazes, abrasions and burns. It reduces the risk of wound infection from bacteria including mrsa. It helps clean the wound of dirt and debris. It provides a moist, low pH environment to promote effective wound healing. Suitable for young babies & children. Suitable for vegetarians. All of the products in the Comvita Medihoney range contain Medihoney Antibacterial Honey, which is a standardised medical grade of antibacterial honey collected predominantly from Leptospermum sp. (including Manuka). This combination of Leptospermum honeys has been put together using advanced scientific knowledge to maximise honey’s potential to support the healing process. Directions: Apply Manukacare directly onto the wound ensuring it reaches a thickness of at least 3mm over the whole wound. Apply more if fluid is present. Avoid direct contact between the wound and the tube nozzle. A non-adherent sterile pad or dressing should be applied over the Manukacare. Specific choice is dependent on amount of wound fluid (exudate) present. Manukacare can be left on the wound for up to 7 days. For any experience other than a short lasting stinging or drawing sensation, remove the dressing and wash the affected area. Do not use if seal is broken or tube is damaged.
