The lavera story. Over 20 years experience in producing innovative, effective, natural and organic skincare. Hello, I am Thomas Haase, founder and proprietor of lavera. The story is also my story. Since I was two years old I have suffered from neurodermatisis. Back then this skin disorder was not well known and conventional cosmetics and medical creams did not help me. This is why, even in my youth, I began to look at alternative skin care possibilities. During this time I began to cultivate my own plants and develop formulations for natural cosmetics that might help my skin. I created my first product, a lip balm, in 1975 and I will never forget its formula of wool wax, beeswax and olive oil. Then in 1987 after more than 10 years of research and cosmetic development, I founded my own company : laverana Gmbh. These natural cosmetics you now know as lavera, a name carefully chosen for its meaning: in Latin lavera means "the truth". A translation that, for us, is a dedication to both our philosophy and commitment. Today, with around 100 employees in our own buildings on the outskirts of the beautiful Deister mountains we produce genuine, pure and innovative natural cosmetics.
