The Rolson 24265 vacuum base knife sharpener has been manufactured from ABS with a vacuum base, which has a suction pad and the sharpening mechanism is made up of tungsten steel blades. To use this knife sharpener simply insert the blade that needs sharpening between the jaws and pull back and forward. When securing the sharpener to a surface simply pull the locking handle down to secure in position and release this handle to remove it from the surface. The maximum tension strength of the vacuum base is 40N. This is suitable for sharpening many different knives and scissors but none of the serrated variety. This knife sharpener has a diameter of 62mm, a height of 58mm and a weight of 60g and should be used on a flat surface. The knife sharpener is an ideal tool to keep in the kitchen to sharpen knives and scissors that are never sharp enough when it comes to using them.
